I think they had to specifically enable that, same as they did with What Remains of Edith Finch— both that and FF7R didn’t have free PS+ upgrades on release day AFAIK.

Yeah, that was very cool of them/ not at all expected. I was even able to transfer some of my saves over to the Steam versions of the game when all was said and done
