Giant thumbs up group meme: You are no longer invited to my peace club.
Photo by Pierre Lavie. Yes this is me. And I threw my Leica. It landed on the bass plate with hardly a scratch. Another Photographer grabbed it along with my phone and I was able to track him later. I was held face down tear gas deployed right in front of me and pepper sprayed directly into the eye.
Comptonβ was previously thought to have been William Morrisβs last design for a wallpaper (and adapted as a pattern for fabric). This was confirmed by May Morris in her βCollected Works of William Morrisβ. However, following Linda Parryβs research it is thought to have in fact been designed by Morris & Co.βs Chief Designer Henry Dearle. Morris and Co. redesigned the residence of Laurence W. Hodson, Compton Hall near Wolverhampton in 1895-6, although Morris had a hand in some of the designs (this is confirmed in surviving letters), there is no evidence that he was sole designer for any of the house designs. Rather, he and Dearle worked together, sending designs back and forth and correcting each otherβs work. The evidence to suggest this is in fact Dearleβs design, is further strengthened by its similarity to his other work, particularly βLeicesterβ wallpaper.
Itβs increasingly clear that social media is a net social evil which shreds attention spans, and this is why the only appropriate remedy available in this space is spending time observing Morris company wallpaper patterns

Calico Cow on the brain: this is a textile design adapted from a 1944 @newyorker.com cover design by Ilonka Karasz (b. Hungary, 1896β1981) who later retooled it for Youngstown Kitchens as a design for fabrics, wallcoverings, and decals to warm up a sterile white and and steel postwar space (1/2)
surely we can come up with something better for 7 billion people than being lorded over by a bunch of plundering elderly murder and torture enthusiasts who whisper to each other about printing spare organs so they can immiserate others in perpetuity
Because you start with scapegoating international students - and you end up here, with people at a government rally in Lloydminster baying for the mass deportation of new Canadians. Letβs stop being mealy-mouthed. This is disgusting. Itβs unCanadian. Itβs unAlbertan. Itβs unacceptable. #AlbertaNext

I protest that it wld be a shame to an honest artist to enjoy what he had huddled up to himself of such art, as it would be for a rich man to sit and eat dainty food amongst starving soldiers in a beleaguered fort.
I do not want art for a few, any more than education for a few, or freedom for a few.
I told the mushrooms what you did, good luck trying to benefit from the mycorrhizal network this summer you bastard
this is maybe trite at this point but it is in your interest to find ways to create things. basically everyone wants you to be consuming nonstop. making stuff, from cooking to photography or whatever, can help you feel more in control. doesnβt even have to be something you share with other people
For a Student Who Used AI to Write a Paper by Joseph Fasano Now I let it fall back in the grasses. I hear you. I know this life is hard now. I know your days are precious on this earth. But what are you trying to be free of? The living? The miraculous task of it? Love is for the ones who love the work.
It's final paper season.

Tomi Lahren on Twitter writes: "Can you think of a Canadian product thatβs better than an American one? Honestly curious."
I can. In fact, the Canadian version is so great, I can't think of an American equivalent. π§΅
Tariffs, sure.
But also the Canadarm should extend its middle finger.
And we should officially add a "u" after every "o" in US place names on Canadian maps (New Yourk, Califournia, Washingtoun, Ouhiou, etc.)
Hooray!
