I've been around a bit. Grew up in Oldham, university at Keele and a few years living around Stoke-on-Trent, then a few more living in Bromley, South London. I've tended to base my fiction in those areas, too. DO NOT BLIND MSG ME! Sick of it.
My MC signs up for 10 years in the army, only to receive an immediate promotion. For context, army slang for lance corporal (one stripe)=lance jack and corporal=full screw.
