I picked up a sketchbook for the first time in years. I usually use photocopy paper on a clipboard to draw. It's been a nice change. Using a sketch book forces me to sit with drawings more, reworking things that bother me instead of just tossing the page out. I tend to go back and ink more too.

I know most people hate the lineart stage, but I think it's actually the most fun part. It's kind of therapeutic just going over your sketch with clean lines and then magically getting a crisp drawing at the end.
Learning to animate in Blender! This is the first time I animated in 3D since college like two decades ago, and honestly turned out better than what I could do back then. Although the cape could use another pass.

My problem is I assume I'll mess things up, so I never have the confidence that it'll end up looking good even after I start rendering. 😅

Sorry, by progress locked, I mean missable.
It's been a while so my memory isn't the best, but I don't think so. All the important side quests are not progress locked, in any case.
There's a few good endings but no true canonical one. But to get one of the good endings requires finishing what's technically a side quest at the end game that's a BIG spoiler, so I won't give details. Most other endings depend on when you fight the final boss, you have access relatively early on.
Well, they do have holodecks, and also they mention in DS9 and in previous episodes of LD that the holodecks are often used for more... uhh... pleasing activities. lol
