I try. The last one though I was straight up pissed off lol
I figured I was going to get some comments like that being that it's CBC but my god was that ever stupid. I do try to not respond but some people need to be put in their place.
Update, this will actually be on CBC News Network across the country.
I will be on CBC Toronto at about 4:15pm this afternoon for a live hit in the field as they cover the storm in Ontario and Quebec. Be sure to tune in!
Second sentence is what I recommend lol
A whole wack ton of freezing rain is slowly moving east still this morning. I'm sitting in Alexandria now waiting, and will be here or towards Hawkesbury all day long.
We've got the live coverage as the storm comes into the region. Come join Tom and I in the chat: www.youtube.com/live/LxFF4eR...
I should honestly start posting on here eh
Freezing rain starts sometime between 2:00am and 5:00am, becomes heavy in the middle of the morning. TBD on how long it actually lasts, dry air could break apart the precipitation and there also may be a transition to regular rain in the afternoon. Still looking at about 10-20mm of accretion.
Awesome, thank you for the answer!
Thanks Dave
@davesills.ca Hey Dave, not sure if you're the correct person to ask, but would you by chance know what's up with the meso.cssl.ca website not loading the map?
Thanks for watching btw!

Extremely impressive snowfall rates in Carleton Place at 6:00pm. Aside from lake effect near Kingston a couple weeks ago, this is the heaviest snow I have seen this entire season. It is accumulating incredibly fast. And in the dark, a horribly difficult drive. #onstorm
Really coming down now in Perth as this event sets up on the snow side of the system. This is the snow we have been waiting for, and I will be following this back up HWY 7 towards Ottawa. #onstorm
10-20 is just my opinion at this point based on current data.
By Environment Canada's definition/criteria, anything over 10cm is classified as a storm (we are expecting between 10-20cm in Ottawa today). This is extremely normal practice throughout the world, not just Canada.
A finer snow like yesterday generally has a bit more of a squeak to it. Usually we don't have storms at -18ยฐC (you'll hear that squeak after about -15ยฐC walking on snow), but conditions aligned for a snow & squeak scenario.
Spence and Kleven have been fucking awful today

Anyone from Twitter remember that time someone tried to tell me to "go back to your lil weather shit"? Well, it's not so little anymore. I made my own forecasting business out of it, & started a new streaming service on YouTube for chasing/coverage. & better yet, I also now have merch!
