Forwin, said loser, is splayed across his side of the table, expression vacant with a thousand-yard stare. Shigeru, sitting on the couch, observes the ruckus. His mind is already set on seeking out his next meal. Kotarō, back turned to the camera, is frustrated with Forwin’s loss beyond measure. Bets may have been placed. Iyrnbluom holds up her winning hand, putting little effort in concealing her victorious grin. She is also wearing shades indoors. Lavivi, held up by Aleksandr, is dabbing on her party leader, adding further insult to Triple Triad-induced injury. Aleksandr is also donning shades, sharing in Iyrnbluom’s win. Lavivi weighs very little in his hands. Nemuh quietly wishes for Forwin to find peace. Her hands are together in prayer and her eyes are closed. Most poses are referenced from a "Draw the Squad" meme template.

Sincere to a fault and every bit the model knight Forwin admired from his childhood stories, Haurchefant was a man the Warrior of Light owed much and more. Never mind thawing otherwise frosty receptions from other Ishgardians during Forwin’s odd trek to the Coerthan border, but this man, out of— 1/3

—a proper journey together, travelling the world (and freeing two nations, her homeland included, from Garlemald’s grasp for good measure), and beginning to strengthen their bonds to a point stepping past platonic. They finally coupled up by post-Stormblood’s end, indulging in romance at last! 3/3

—on the Waking Sands, he kept those feelings under lock and key, out of shame and guilt. The pair still became closer after some normalcy was restored, and hardly a day passed when she wasn’t on his mind after escaping from the Bloody Banquet. Stormblood finally gave them the chance to share in— 2/3

THE WOLSHIP… quick, how can I condense a giant wall of text into a TL;DR-

The short of it? Forwin was smitten for Lyse since he knew her as Yda, back before he joined the Scions. When he realised what he felt was more than simple infatuation towards a fellow adventurer after the Garleans’ raid— 1/3

What if I prepared myself for an extremely stupid grand undertaking that will be unreasonably time-consuming…

All that said, though, why paint a chicken green…?

As a bystander who also got caught up into Hildibrand’s hijinks… Forwin feels only sympathy for the gregarious giant hailing from Hydaelyn only knows where. Sure, they may cross swords at times, but his clashes against Gilgamesh are never born out of malice, often proving to be fun sport!

All that said, the trio have built something of a brotherhood between them, bonds made all the stronger between their experiences in Coerthas, Ala Mhigo, and the contingent in Endwalker… though Forwin does occasionally wonder if there is something more going on between the pair nowadays.

As for Sanson, Forwin was all for the idea of a squadron of bards under the Order of the Twin Adder, and keenly supported the soldier in his endeavours. They got along well enough, though having to play the mediator between a capricious bard and a no-nonsense lancer did prove grating on occasion…

GOATED CHOICES!

Guydelot and Forwin share something of a friendly rivalry, yet are as thick as thieves during the Bard storylines. Both are Jehantel’s finest pupils, so they occasionally rib each other over who is the "better" of the two, but they learn from one another more than they would admit!
