Teens+ is a pathway for school leavers with additional needs to fulfil their potential We provide education & therapeutic support for young people in Edinburgh with complex communication needs including autism & learning disabilities teensplus.org.uk
We also want to recognise our wider Multidisciplinary Team, including the Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists who work alongside us. Their expertise and partnership make a huge difference to the support we provide every day.

Today we are marking World Book Day by recognising how important books are for our students here at Teens+โจ
Whether itโs listening to a story, exploring pictures, using symbols, or reading together in groups, books help open up new ways to learn and connect!
Learning to Travel Independently๐๏ธ
Our trainees at the Fisherrow Next Steps Hub recently met with Lothian Buses to learn about safe and confident selfโtravel. They explored how to plan journeys, communicate with drivers, and stay safe while travelling, all important skills for independenceโจ

Taking on the Falkirk Wheel Abseil...AGAIN!๐
On 21st March, Scott and Ethan will be abseiling down the iconic Falkirk Wheel to raise ยฃ600 for a brandโnew pool table at our Liberton Centre, with any extra funds going toward essential resources across our other centres๐ฑโจ

Over at our Liberton Brae centre, this student, who loves all things horses, has been collecting rosettes throughout the day for the positive things he does.
Each rosette has a word, such as Kind, Brave, Safe, or Hard Work, and is earned whenever that skill is shown!โค๏ธ
Moments like these highlight what we value at Teens+: support, confidence, independence, and giving every young adult the tools they need to express themselves in a way that works for themโจ

They play an active role in creating classes and leading group sessions on topics theyโre passionate about. Itโs a great way to bring fresh ideas, variety, and creativity into our centres' weekly timetable๐ฅ
