One of my monitors just went out (bad LCD) and I'm incredibly jumpy any time I hear someone out in the hallway because I think it's the property manager with papers from the court. Oh, and my electric/gas bill is overdue.

I've only been awake for 2 hours and I'm already done with today. No stream.

I burned my eye at an event in an accident, taped a napkin to my face with masking tape, went back to work, pulled an all-nighter, then drove to Nashville from Ohio for a 2-hr job, then back to MS all within 48 hours.

So yeah, don't ever once tell me I'm lazy. I'm broken. There's a difference.

This used to be me.

At one time I was called "one of the hardest working people in the fighting game community."

I'd drive 10-15 hours to events and then put in 15-plus-hour days, sometimes sleeping at my table, for three days, drive back home, and then do it again in a week or two.

No, you'll just judge me and think I haven't done "enough", which is exactly what this corrupt system tells you to further alienate you from those around you.
Every single person reading this is one bad day away from being disabled, and most of you will end up in the mess I'm in if that happens.

There will be jerks who read this and think "well why don't you just get a job?" I promise you I've done everything within my physical/mental capabilities to find some work over the past six years. Either I can't do it anymore or it doesn't stick. But you won't read this and think that I've tried.

Yeah it's your job but this is my emotional and general well-being.

Why does it feel like help takes forever but harm can happen in an instant? Six years for disability to do its thing but sure, let's just hop over to the courthouse tomorrow and mess up this person's life?

This doesn't make the emotional lockdown I've been suffering any better. I've been in a ragged emotional state for so long that I can't even list 1 small thing a day. I'm just sitting around waiting for an email or a phone call from one of the myriad agencies I need to talk to and it pisses me off.

The leasing office called. She said unless I come up with the $4500 I owe for late rent by tomorrow, she's headed to the courthouse to work out a court-mandated payment plan.

Right, like I'm gonna come up with that by then She was so "fake nice" about it too, there was almost a smugness there.
