It’s decent. The talismans were pretty neat and it feels nice to slap a bunch of talismans on your arm and barely take damage. On the other hand lanterns in this game are quite literally the worst thing ever.

Finally, FINALLY get to try it out after all these years! Honestly excited to jump into it when I have the time.

Going to add my voice to those asking not to support the way the SEGAGAGA translation was done, especially in the light of some additional food-for-thought from moots, and what we've seen with anime dubs/subbing lately and calling that out as awful and a risk to skilled translators.

If you feel that use of AI art assets at any stage of the process is an automatic out, but ChatGPT translations are fine if they're "checked" by people, it might be worth asking yourself why that is. Because it sounds a whole lot like valuing the work of translators less than other creatives to me.

Until Then is getting a DLC??? I don't know if my heart will ever be ready for it.

The start of a new trilogy on PS2 in 2001, following on from the release of Koudelka. And as a fan of pre-rendered background graphics, I'm particularly fond of Shadow Hearts.

I love Steam NextFest, but it honestly feels like a coin flip on whether or not I see this.

10. Helen's Mysterious Castle

A really cute RPGMaker game! The combat system is really simple, almost like Dragon Quest 1 with its 1v1 fights. However, the Wait mechanic really kept it fresh. It's cheap, and short, and ultimately, really sweet.

Only con is that now I crave steak. 😅
