I usually watch MST3K when I'm under the weather to regress to the comforts of childhood, and I've had a migraine for 11 days straight. So after rewatching a LOT of episodes over the last two weeks, I can only come to one conclusion:

My friend, the wonderful and kind Jim Stringer, who wrote this incredible theme song, sadly passed away far too young in December. He truly saved my life so many times with that riff, particularly during cleaning and pack out after the fire.

What I'm confused by is that the force was already democratized in the EU for decades... like randos all over the place pop up with the Force? It can be genetic, or just... not? And people in families have it to different degrees? So I don't really understand how that part was ever even a thing?

As an adult, my favorite David Bowie album is Heathen, with Low a close second. But from neither of those albums, the song I revisit more than most is Valentine's Day, which I'm still floored ended up in Lazarus. I saw the show 10 years ago this week, with little idea of what the future would hold.

Today is David Bowie's birthday, and the 10 year anniversary of the Blackstar album. Which also means (cosmic jokes aside) we're coming up on 10 years of many of us living in one crisis after another.

As a kid, Bowie music helped me through so many disasters, and now he's helped through these too.

One of the things that irritates me about defunding the Post Office is that the Post Office is just a great place to go to. People getting presents, sending off Christmas letters, the hustle and bustle of American Capitalism, people meeting people, babes and hunks, get laid at the Post Office folks

Traffic was SO BAD today, what in Carmageddon is going on? It took more than 90 minutes to go 9 miles this afternoon, and that was hours before rush hour. And it's a Tuesday!

I needed to nap before an all night shoot and traffic ate any chance of that happening. Think unsleepy thoughts for me fam.

Pierce Brosnan doesn't get enough kudos for great work in THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH. When Bond stares down Elektra King it is a MOMENT.

We hear about Dalton being more of the ruthless, Fleming-esque Bond, but when Brosnan brings menace to the table it means something.

Bond as a conferred identity is dumb.

Bond as a character whose story resets with every new actor is dumb (as much as I hate the Madeleine Swann character with every fiber of my being.)

What insufferable handwringing. There are a thousand ways Bond could have escaped No Time to Die. If there even is an issue figuring out how, which I doubt, it's probably because they hired writers who don't really like the property and character. Happy to take over for them!

As someone born on the UES who has been riding those buses for 40 years... these are either transplants who don't do public transit or bots. UES buses are usually crowded and not with the terrifying poor. There can be safety issues in towns with low or class-based ridership, but NYC is not that.

Accidentally slept til 3PM, woke up for some food, fell asleep again accidentally at 5PM, woke up at 8PM. Daylight Savings is going great so far.

I love HORROR EXPRESS because it's shot mostly in mediums and mostly overly lit with head on key lighting with zero care for continuity and it does not matter AT ALL.
