You get that as well, I thought it was just my pc.
Nice build mate.
My Father drove, I think a mark 2 for the Australian army in the late sixties. I am very interested in watching this build.
That is a nice cabinet from your friend, well done mate.
Gday Bluesky, Up on my bench is a leftover parts 29 Ford in 1/25 scale. I have made 2 29 Ford Hot Rods and a 32, so I have many different options for parts. A 3D printed blown Hemi 392 motor is the power plant. I will have to scratch build some of the suspension, lets see how I go.
Thanks, It was a challenge but worth it for the result.
I think I found how to display this one.
I have all but the side stand left to fit on the 1/25 scale Revell California Street Chopper. I added a different headlight as I didn't want to put the supplied lights on the springer suspension the tail lights are mounted in behind the seat. The Sissy bar in the kit broke so a new one was made.
That is excellent work. looking good π
That's it for today, I have been told we are off to see David Byrne tonight, Stop making sense.
The front suspension is underway, I will be taking my time and letting things set. The supplied sissy bar broke during the de-sprucing. So modifications have been made and have used 0.5mm brass wire to make a new one.
I use this chrome a lot now, it takes ages to cure and I have had it loose its shine with handling. I have started water based clear coating after curing which seems to work.
I'm out, how could I resist my wife left me alone after an eye test, great price.
A little more work on the Revell California Chopper. The engine transmission and gear box are in. I am happy at my efforts at this scale, challenging but rewarding.
The back tyre is smaller than a 2 dollar Euro coin.
Well if someone told me 1/25 scale motorcycle is a walk in the park, they would be lying.. l have taken off the chrome from the tank, rear fender, frame and repainted them. I have heaps more to keep me busy this weekend. #Revell 1/25 Street Chopper.
The 29 Ford Pickup is finished with the glue still drying, onto the Chopper.
Revell 29 Ford Pickup
Revell 29 Ford Pickup is mocked up on the wheels after front suspension fitting issues. Seat, dash and windows are in time to attach the doors.
The wheels and front suspension on this kit are testing me. The back came together fine, but the front is another story. Both of the steering brackets broke and are holding up at the moment after regluing. I have set up a jig to brace one side to allow the strong glue to set one side at a time.
I was lucky with that one, I got it the day after boxing day.
I reckon π
#buildthestash This is my stash, I have another TAMIYA Katana not pictured as well. I won't buy a kit this year and use the ones I have.
More work πͺπ
Last day of 2025, I made 14 and a half model builds this year. I will be slowing down next year maybe π€. Happy New Year. I wish for wars to end and prosperity for all that truly need it.
I have the engine on the chassis of the Revell 29 pickup, about to attach the radiator. I had to go to the hobby shop for glue and chrome pens and this custom Hilux found its way home with me.
Speedy recovery mate.
All I have are these Ford Badges, the super pursuit ones have part codes.
