The best examples I've seen of mastering the borrow checker, does so by avoiding it, using indices into arrays instead, just like you can do in any language.
So would you prefer C++ or Rust without borrow checker?
People claim rust is great because of the package system, stdlib, compiler warning messages etc.
If that's true, then the language would have value even without the borrow checking part, and would be so much easier to work and prototype in.

To reduce the number of ray-marching steps needed to find the surface of our morphs we generate a proxy from the constituent meshes. It must fully enclose the morphed surfaces while remaining as tight as possible to maximize throughput. We want to minimize the red and blue regions in the debug view.
