Hey There!
Mushrooms appear in a lot of my older games. I might share about those sometime. Anyway, hereβs some footage in a new area in High Zone, the Forest. Something shocking happens when you plug something in!

I was playtesting my game after editing all the json files it was way too hard, like the best weapons and upgrades wouldn't stop me from dying to the overtime hoard of enemies, so instead of trying to fine tune the difficulty I just started adding more insane ways to kill lots of enemies.
I'm working really hard to get the game to a state where I'm comfortable showing it off, and will hopefully be making some posts about it soon. I will also be putting together a devlog to catalogue all of the progress at some point. I'm looking forward to share my dumpster fire game with you!
One of the biggest things I failed to realize as a freelancer working on games is how much play testing soaks up time when its just you working on a project. I spend way more time playing my game than I do working on sometimes!! Similarly I'm learning just how hard game progression is to design.
This project is mostly solo dev, I have taken on the programming myself and am still actively learning as I go. I have help with animation and sound but the rest is being handled by me for better or worse. I'm open to help with balancing and programming for anyone who has experience!
So I said "demo coming soon" and then decided to add a bunch of features to my game that have made working on it a lot more time consuming. That being said, I think everyone will appreciate and enjoy the new features! I added some new enemy types that involve a lot of funky procedural stuff.
I participated in the global game jam for the first time this year. In a sleep deprived haze I created the foundation of a diabolical vampire survivor type game. The jam version wasn't uploaded because it lacked music and sound design but I'm working on a proper demo build that will release soon.

In this scenario, Renee thought the world would be a better place without people like him in it, and she tried to kill him. She failed to do so, but by even attempting to kill an Ice agent she died a hero.
Rest in peace Renee Nicole. Fuck Ice
While an Ice agent stood in front of her vehicle she saw the opportunity to take his life and went for it, accelerating her vehicle in hopes that she could injure or kill someone who willingly serves a fascist regime.
In scenario B: Renee being an educated person viewed Ice agents as secret police, scum of the earth who unfairly profile people based on their skin color and unlawfully detain hard working illegal immigrants as well as US citizens without habeas corpus.
In this scenario she was not trying to kill him, but in the chaos of the moment the Ice agent acted in fear, letting his cowardice overcome the protocols he was supposed to follow as a federal agent which led to her death.
In scenario A: Renee was trying to leave the scene while an Ice agent tried to block her vehicle with his body, which law enforcement agents are not supposed to do. He then collided with her vehicle and fired 3 fatal shots killing her.
There are two absolute definitive scenarios in the case which Renee Nicole was shot to death.
All Ice agents have micro penises.
Fuck Ice
Honestly my favourite work from 2025, and it was a random MS paint challenge

This reflective acrylic sheet shows how 1980s illustrators were able to trace real-life objects on the computer. Once it was aligned, it reflected whatever was in front of it over the monitor's display, allowing artists to trace it in a tool like MacPaint or MS Paint. Simple, low tech and effective.
Cute glow in the dark sticker I designed a while back πΈ
