They don't think you're dumb, they're certain you are weak. That reality gives them license to do just about anything.
In this century Democrats have only managed to win when Republicans have FUBAR'd the place. And while them winning the midterms is far preferable than the alternative, it seems fairly certain that with current leadership it will be a temporary respite.
You are supposedly one of the better Democrats and you don't appear to get it either. And by the way you all accepted the idea of lawless status quo when you went back to BAU with Republicans after they refused to convict on impeachment.
Mr. Secretary, these appeals to conservatives to finally find Jesus is not just disconnected from reality it's irritating. And this is from someone who actually likes you.
How about the Democrats just announce that any takeover over of Greenland either by extortion or military occupation will be immediately reversed by the next Democratic administration.
It might be Mommy/Daddy but I always felt it was as much about Republican voters favoring attitude over aptitude. If some Democrat could come along who has both they would win handily. As it is they only seem to win when the alternative is proving to be a disaster.
Might I make a suggestion to get Schumer's attention. Take away his attention. Unfollow him on Bluesky. Get his number down to immediate family members.
Pardon my French-Canadian but when it comes to Rogan I have turned the dial to f*** all the way off and am not interested in giving him any credit whatsoever for today's blind squirrel success.
Surely the image of a 75-year-old man, his glasses perched on the end of his nose as he shakes a balled-up fist at them, will be enough to inspire the fear needed to bring them around.
One of the greater irritations of these times is that we are obligated to give a shit what Rogan thinks.
And until you give him a reason not to the bully will keep stuffing you in your locker and taking your lunch money.
What might be an issue is the indication this provides of an attempt to install a true lackey when Powell is done. And what you hear out of Republican senators who are still by and large going along.
At this point I think the markets are accustomed to the mayhem. Pretty good bet that Powell isn't going to suddenly acquiesce on rates and his term is done soon anyway. I could be wrong but I expect a drop and recovery on the recognition that the status quo still applies.
Well this should help boost that 28% approval rating.
Past 7-8 years?!! Birtherism goes back almost 15 years. And that propelled Trump into the lead in the Republican primary. JFC I'm Canadian and know this history.
Bullshit. Look for the political motive. I could argue just as easily that the conservatives on the court might be trying to do the Republicans and Trump a favor by squashing the tariffs.
When was the last time you suppose that oral arguments swayed the court in any way on a case with true national implications.
The idea that oral arguments at the Supreme Court matter any more is quaint.
Clauses that have been rendered absolutely meaningless. Along with emoluments and an ever increasing number of amendments.
Ouch! That new replay angle shows how ugly close that was.
Too bad. Clement would have been a deserving hero given his post-season performance.
I already bite my nails so I'm sitting here with nothing left to work with.
We're the same age George. Which means we're both too old for this sh*t. π°
Their ranks are being indicted or threatened with arrest. Blue cities are being specifically targeted by ICE and Federalized National Guard. All of this at the direction of a convicted felon who they couldn't manage to beat in an election. This bar for winning isn't just low it's on the floor.
To contrast your courage and willingness to fight with the cowardice and fecklessness emanating from the likes of @schumer.senate.gov and @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social makes it all the more obvious the urgent need for a change in Democratic leadership.
You really have become the Susan Collins of the Democratic Party. Your sternly worded letters/videos and demands for action are every bit as hollow as her Ben and Jerry's variety of concern levels.
Sternly worded video. Can we apply the Susan Collins level of concern meter to you as well?
One step?? At this point he couldn't see his party's ass with a telescope.
I'm old enough to have seen both of the unique structures in this picture being built.
