This weekend I came out as nonbinary to my parents, & totally expected my dad to make some bigoted comment, but just had this look of realization on his face & said nothing. Then proceeded to give me a knife as a gift to protect myself, & that’s honestly the most dad-like acceptance I can think of 😭

Artists/authors/creatives, if you could give your past self any advice, what would it be?

Mine is that growth comes from cutting off the people who made you feel like you would never succeed without them. You have everything in you already to spread your wings. Don’t let them tell you otherwise.

No idea 😭 I've heard so many people that are always going on about how your 20s are supposed to be the highlight of your life and it goes downhill from there, and I'm like... what??? How is growing as a person, getting wiser, and becoming more stable in your life downhill? LOL

I spent so much of my twenties dreading turning 30 because everyone makes it out to be this awful milestone of "haha you're old and your life is over"

I'm 29 now but I literally feel like my life finally STARTED last year, and for the first time, I can say I genuinely love my life?? 😭
