Where were you when Black PIs were disproportionately not being funded for decades while you were awarded millions? I’m sorry you lost your grant money but we aren’t mules for your newfound activism.
I’m having a hard time holding my tongue watching colleagues who have consistently argued for why race has no relevance in their research & explicitly asked me how to make race “disappear” are using the fact the Black PIs have lost their research grants disproportionately as past of their campaign.
That we continue to perpetuate this type of violence is entirely unsurprising. Thanks for the data, though. #mathed
