Great episode, but for sure the way Boris talks about Claude he for sure thinks it’s alive. (It’s not)

Mine that I use a lot which doesn’t read as well as it sounds is “a gym, what’s a gym…. Ohhhh a a gym”

I know AI can be a hot button issue in game development but this is a super helpful video on how to use copilot in game development.

As a parent of a 10 and 6 year old… I’m still tired 😂 and the part about being more efficient, caring more and less at the same time is something only a parent can understand.
One thing I enjoy the most is seeing the community respond to our changelogs, sometimes they are spot on about what we are cooking up, other times they say it’s weird we did a thing not realizing it’s a small piece to a much larger puzzle. Thank you all for being so passionate about #minecraft
I’m video game industry adjacent 😅
That was an awesome halftime show. The technical prowess to pull that off, showing all the different cultural aspects, and even if you don’t speak the language you could feel the joy. Awesome!
@theverge.com catching up on a few podcasts within a podcast and thought I would share this
Had a fantastic week in Stockholm working with devs on how to get new blocks in the game faster AND how to make it creator friendly. Stockholm was beautiful but I’m ready to go home 😅 #minecraft
I cannot wait!
Also I’m more diligent on canceling/rejecting meetings now. I try to make sure I have time for deep work that isn’t chopped up by meetings that end up being status readouts.
I feel this in my bones. What I’m learning to do is to let some things just burn. I cannot be in all the meetings, fight all the fires, do all the design reviews, etc. if I try I end up doing them all poorly, so I stack rank what’s on my plate based on impact and ROI and do that.
I finally got around to playing with Godot and I’m not sure I’ll ever go back to Unity #godot
My degree is in English and I have:
- Led the CNNGo team for connected devices
- Led architecture for Bleacher Report
- Led a team for coauthoring on the Microsoft Word team
- Led a team at AWS for commercial Linux on EC2-
- and now I’m an engineering manager for Minecraft 🤷♂️
I don’t get why they would target any individual dev. I can safely say that all of us both on the Microsoft side and Mojang AB side who work on Minecraft love the game and the communities around it🤷♂️
Reading that whole thread is wild. The internet is a weird place.
@reckless.bsky.social not even in 2026 yet and some of the predictions you guys made are off (if the deal goes through) 😅

My @frame.work laptop was overheating and the fans were driving me nuts. Any other laptop I probably would have just spent 3k on another one, but with this one I spent 19.99 on some new thermal paste, popped it open, applied it and now it works perfectly. #righttorepair #framework
after millions of views and shares of my Portland Frog art. (thank you all🙏🏾) I got requests to highlight priests, and chickens, and Chicagoans, and T-Rexes, and more… all of us who refuse to bend the knee. so this is for US.

Yikes! Thanks for posting about it. I’ll follow up with the team
My observation is schools and universities in general have done not a great job of prepping graduates to think critically. I think the broad adoption of AI for school age kids is only going to make that worse. Critical thinking skills is the number one thing I look for in a candidate FWIW
From my time at AWS, we did use AWS for everything, but I personally found the customer experience better than our internal tooling.
At Microsoft, atleast on my team, the tooling is the same as our customers except we are on an insider ring, so we dogfood features first
Mine is the nautilus. So excited to explore the oceans!
For those of you tuning in to #MinecraftLive, what are you most excited about?
Oh it was clear. Thanks for the thoughtful responses and this thread in general ❤️
Yeah that’s super tough. You are right, as a company, your responsibility is to your company and employees, not the greater good necessarily, which goes back to what I think the real solution is. It’s not a company, or some savior politician, but coalitions of normal people making their voices heard
The real solution is in the hands of voters. Vote in all elections, local and national. Tell the politicians what you will and won’t put up with with your vote and your dollars
They don’t push back hard, they move the boundary further and further out. I think they could just push to take the video down like any IP enforcement take down without making it political. This would atleast send a message of “that’s our stuff, don’t use our stuff”
Realistically though I think
I don’t know what I would do in that situation, I’d like to think I would fight them but I’ve also never had that many people I was responsible for. I’d only like to mention that from my observations this administration keeps pushing at the boundaries to see what people/companies will do, and when
Can’t wait for players to see what we all have been working on #Minecraft #Mojang #MinecraftLive
