Inchmurrin is definitely high quality stuff πŸ‘ I often avoid Decadent Drams offerings as they seem overpriced. Would you say these were worth it?

I’m still hoping that @maltmusings.bsky.social will give us an update and/or some thoughts on his amazing looking flight tbh

I can’t match a flight, but I’ll raise a glass of this nice Sauternes cask Inchmurrin to join you. SlΓ inte πŸ₯ƒ

Come on Freddy! Do it for the Lakeland Terriers 🀞πŸ’ͺ #Crufts My little Lakie is cheering you on! They are superb wee dogs, but sadly on the vulnerable native breed list 😒

Me too…yet they often seem to get overlooked

I’m really hoping I just got unlucky with a duff sample (it’s happened to me before). Fingers crossed that yours is a good one.

How’s the dram?

Nice programme! I’ve seen Oramo a few times in Birmingham and Edinburgh and always been very impressed.

I’m very much hoping that it’s just a dodgy sample. It’s rare that I really don’t like a dram…

Thomas Tallis’ Spem in Alium with visual representation (sung by the Ora Singers) is a rare treat. Proper balm for the soul.

Looks like a cracking dram πŸ₯ƒ I love the Classic of Islay in the background too. Used to buy those regularly. Cask strength Lagavulin for a bargain price. Is that a newish one? Haven’t seen them in a while.

Trying a few recent #Whisky samples tonight. My first go at a Glenwyvis, and one of only a handful of drams that’s ever gone straight down the sink. A rogue sample? Anyone tried this or similar offerings from this distillery?

Watching Molly Vs the Machines on C4 and it is heartbreaking and enraging in equal measure. Painful but recommended viewing. Hoping that it has a similar impact on public opinion as Mr Bates vs the Post Office did.

A really great tasting @thewhiskywire.bsky.social πŸ™ a very strong lineup that bodes well for #TheCairnDistillery if this is what they’re aiming for. The nose of the 30yo wins the night for me, but the palate of the 25yo was equally memorable.

Curly wurly! Come on now. Enough’s enough. I’m already craving fig rolls…don’t add the lattice delight into the mix!!!! 🀣

#TheCairnDistillery 30yo
Palate: herbal notes mingle with roasted coffee beans, ginger snaps, Granny Smith apples and some dark chocolate. Much more woody finish than the previous drams.

3 decades in a cask. This deserves time and respect! #TheCairnDistillery
Nose: old library…the kind that screams 40year+ at me normally. Might this have some even older liquid in the blend? Well worn leather, pipe tobacco, and dusty books. Only then do the sherry notes emerge. Simply gorgeous πŸ₯ƒ
