[4] November 9th, soldiers from Taiwan’s 2nd Operational Zone were mobilized to assist with evacuations in Guangfu Township, Hualien, ahead of Typhoon Fung-Wong’s expected landfall. The township was devastated just weeks ago by Typhoon Ragasa, causing severe flooding with more than 20 people dead.

This week, PLA activity around Taiwan increased, with Taiwan's MND tracking a surge in PLAAF, PLAN, and China Coast Guard (CCG) activity.
On September 15th, the MND monitored 6 CCG vessels around Taiwan, the most since April's Strait Thunder exercise.
