It was a mixture of things, ratings were not terrible but production costs went up (which is why it looks significantly better in later seasons than 1 or 2 xD) and there were some marketing issues plus not much good faith from Sci-Fi. I rly enjoyed last season so I'm salty abt it all 😅

Stargate SG-1. Season 9 adds Cameron Mitchell, season 10 adds Vala Mal Doran. Both work pretty well. And mid-series Daniel Jackson disappeared for full season 6 and returned season 7 without issues.

And yet no drones from this night (and last couple of weeks tbh) entered Poland directly from Russia or affected the tiny PL region bordering with Russia. For ppl living right next to PL/UKR border, your joke doesn't read that well. But I guess that's the essence of Internet, random and tone deaf

Hot take: Watchmen and Dark Knight only resonate when you understand the tropes they are breaking. Otherwise they are just brutal. Their big claim to fame was “ comics have grown up” Using them as examples of what will “get a kid into comics” is exactly what they are not made for.

Mine only works for Polish but 左 is pronounced somewhat similar to Polish "zło" [zwo] which means evil and the left being the opposite of the right(eousnes) is evil-ish 😅 And for 右 I'm just going "not left" which, well...

But hey, at least they have us a voucher for EUR17 (use within 72 hours at Helsinki Airport) so all of us who missed their connecting flights can spend some quality airport time while waiting for the airlines to sort this out! I think I accidentally introduced myself as a comics creator instead of scholar (A: I'm a researcher - S: Oh cool what's your field - A: I'm doing comics) while on Tokyo subway. 20+ minutes of VIP treatment and starry eyes can't be cause of comic research, right O_O

Here we ask the question: Why do authors/bookshops assume the only way to have a strong woman lead is to make them gay with a woman love interest and prevent men characters from rising over the background? Isn't it possible to have a book with strong women and men characters in it and not have them fall in love?

I’m not attending Worldcon this year & everything seems to be a mess but this is so mind-bendingly bad on so many levels that I think it’s worth unpacking while I’m in the no-space of airports
