It was more about the angle. The aurora wasn’t really in the right place to capture it with the falls. I have shots of the aurora and the falls—just not both. Had to choose one or the other.

An awesome location! It was pure darkness when we were there. I tried to get a shot of the falls with the aurora overhead, but none of my shots really captured it right.

Love the colors! And the stark contrast between the crisp scaly texture of the lizard’s skin against the soft bokeh of the background.
