Hey everyone, can we go back and appreciate the crazy ‘90s swing revival more?

Being a comics collector during the speculator boom era, two characters I wish got more play are Sleepwalker and Darkhawk. I know Darkhawk has been getting more use the last decade, which I need to go and read to see how they extend his backstory. But Sleepwalker? Let’s do it!

Doing a late night rewatch of one of my favorites. Riddick is such a good character, love all the films (and video game) he’s in.

Random awesome release in my film collection: this big ol’ tin for OLDBOY. Comes with tons of bonus features, the first volume of the manga and even an original 35mm film cell.

Watched the anthology film HOLIDAYS tonight with my wife. It’s solidly in the middle of the road. Each segment felt like they might end up great. But ended up being ok. Still, we enjoyed it enough. Hell, my wife stayed awake for all of it so that’s a positive!

Catching up with horror 2024:

THE SUBSTANCE: great and more gruesome than I thought. Demi Moore is amazing. If Yuzna, Gordon and Cronenberg had a baby.

A VIOLENT NATURE: Movie version of Friday the 13th: the Video Game. 5 stars. I loved this ASMR slasher horror film.

From the amazing @cauldronfilms.bsky.social is this set of lesser seen Italian horror films, two from Lucio Fulci and two from Umberto Lenzi. I’ve only seen Fulci’s films on shoddy DVD so I’m excited to see how good these look!
