Psittacosaurus meaning "parrot" "lizard" due to its prominent beak, is an early Cretaceous distant uncle of Triceratops.
Found all over Asia from Russia, Mongolia, China, and Thailand; this little guy had hollow quill like feathers on the topside of its tail.

One of my favorite little known sauropodomorph (long neck dinosaurs) is Nigersaurus, meaning "Niger's lizard" after the country of its discovery.
At 30 feet, this little guy was known for its unusually shaped mouth and having an estimated of over 500 teeth.

One of the highlights of the ISEA conference was the opening keynote speaker and host of the @eonsshow Kallie Moore! She gave us great advice on informal science education and most important of all, she recognized me!

This is the new species of Spinosaurus Dr. Paul Sereno mentioned at his lecture in Houston a couple of years ago!
The new Spinosaurus mirabilis was found in Niger, Africa, much further south than Spinosaurus aegyptiacus found in (you guessed it) Egypt!

My topic was "From Discovery to Diva: A Tyrannosaurus rex story", describing the history of the world's most famous dinosaur. I truly appreciate the excitement and energy of the crowd!

When the genus known as Megaraptor was first discovered, it was thought to be the largest member of the Dromaeosaur family (the proper family name of the "raptor" dinosaurs in Jurassic Park, as well as their relatives). We now know they were a late Cretaceous family of their own.
