Watched an odd movie today - Nandor Fodor and the Talking Mongoose - and I really enjoyed it. It would make a nice double-feature night with Fairy Tale: A True Story.

I put this box on the coffee table to sort the contents, went to refill my drink, and came back to this. Good thing we spent silk that money on cat stuff. #catphoto

I think I know a few people who would like this.
At the risk of reading too much into Blueskyβs success at the moment, I do think itβs a signal that people donβt want to be surrounded by bots and manipulated algorithms
AI can only go so far. We want human connection.
Buying a book and actually reading it are two very different hobbies.
Buying up an author's words for a flat fee to train A.I. on them is predatory.

Still confused about why people use "WriterSky" and not "SkyWriters" and skeet instead of bleat or fleet. Oh well. No one ever said people made sense.
For the millions of newbies:
BlueSky does not have an algorithm.
Like means: "I like it."
Reskeet/repost/whatever: "I like it and I want others to see it."
Likes do not help visibility, only a reskeet does that, sharing to your followers, who can make their own choices.
You are the algorithm.
