Examples of axial, sagittal, and coronal magnetic resonance images of the lower leg from the ankle to the knee of a typically developing 14-y-old girl.
Reference curves for the development of 10 lower leg muscles in children were produced from MRI images of 208 typically developing Australians. The curves may help identify impaired muscle growth in people with cerebral palsy. In PNAS: www.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/...
