Poverty affects the whole of the UK, but it’s not distributed evenly.
Our analyst @scothunter.bsky.social sets out where poverty is most acute, and the action needed for all communities to thrive, no matter where they are.
📣 New report: Despite efforts to widen access to higher education, social mobility is flatlining or declining across wealthier countries
Students whose parents did not attend university remain 45% less likely to reach the top earnings quintile than those with graduate parents.

Power structures in this country are still dominated by a small group of people.
1️⃣ The 7% who go to private schools
2️⃣ The roughly 1% who go to Oxford or Cambridge for university
This is especially true for those who attend both private school and Oxbridge 👇
