Happy World Book Day!
Two of my favourite things: visiting a bookshop and passing on books I loved as a child to the next generation!
Jumping on the First Page, book & author bandwagon with my book, Dancing In The Moonlight.

Fall in love on #ValentinesDay - with a book!
DANCING IN THE MOONLIGHT
When Finn left, Nell never imagined that 10 years later she’d be dancing in a show that he is choreographing. When she didn’t tell him her secret, she thought she’d never see him again.

#RomFicFeb26 Day 10
The Meet-Cute
Kate meets Jaimie on her first day in Rome, when he sits beside her on the Spanish Steps and draws her portrait. Little does she know it, but it won’t be the first time he draws or paints her that summer . . .

Day 8 & 9 - Introduce your main character - and their love interest.
Meet Nell and Finn. Will they get a second chance to dance in the moonlight?

#RomFicFeb26 - a month of authors and readers celebrating romantic fiction
Day 5 - What are my books’ locations?
I have written books set in Paris, Rome, a seaside village, a Greek island, and a West End theatre.
Where would you like to travel with a book?
It’s Day 4 of #RomFicFeb26, and today’s question for authors is ‘do you write in other genres or sub-genres?
I write contemporary romance novels, but I do have a dual timeline, Rome For The Summer, which is set in 1816 and 2016.

#RomFicFeb26 Day 4: DO YOU WRITE IN OTHER GENRES / SUB-GENRES.

It’s RomFicFeb26 Day 3
Today, authors are celebrating romantic fiction by asking they write romance?
Why do I write romance?
Because I love a love story!

It's that time of year when authors find out how many times their books have been borrowed from public libraries. I've just checked, and my summer romance books were borrowed more times in 2025 than ever before!! Thank You so much to everyone who has borrowed my books from their local library!

Saw Christmas Carol Goes Wrong at the Apollo, in London’s West End, this week, and can’t remember when we laughed so much in the theatre. The cast are brilliant, with perfect comic timing, and certainly know how to work an audience. A very, very funny show, and highly recommended.

Anyone else remember watching the Live Aid concert on TV, along with the rest of the world? The fabulous musical, Just For One Day, which we watched yesterday at the Shaftesbury Theatre, tells the story of Live Aid. And it’s raised over a million £ for the Band Aid Trust! See it if you can!

Merry Christmas to everyone celebrating!
Decs are up, including the tree decs from this year’s travels in Japan, presents are wrapped, a Christmas movie has been watched. Now we will follow the Icelandic custom of Jolabokaflod (book flood) and spend the rest of Christmas Eve reading!
Happy Winter Solstice to everyone celebrating.
Happy Jane Austen Day!
Miss Austen was born 250 years ago today. My favourite novel of hers is Pride & Prejudice, but Persuasion is a close second.

Visiting Canterbury, I was delighted to see that Chaucer has been joined on the street by Aphra Behn. I’d no idea she’d lived in Canterbury, or that there was a campaign to mark that with a statue. Fab when neglected women writers of the past are given the recognition they deserve.

To Wyndham’s Theatre, London, to see Born With Teeth, a brilliant, dynamic, fire-cracker of a play that imagines a relationship between Shakespeare and Marlowe.Terrific chemistry between the actors makes this two-hander an exhilarating piece of theatre. Highly recommended

Laptop on a table in a garden
Autumn is coming and the leaves are turning brown, but it was still warm enough to write in the garden this afternoon.
