Saw a reddit post where someone thought an episode of TV ending in a cliffhanger "to be continued" (NCIS, I believe) was an homage to TNG when Riker orders the Enterprise to fire on Locutus before a very long summer hiatus. People had to explain that the trope had existed for decades.
James Bama's 1966 promo poster for NBC's Star Trek featuring Captain Kirk (William Shatner) and Spock (Leonard Nimoy)
I have one of those original promo posters. Thinking of taking it with me to STLV for the 60th anniversary and having it signed by Shatner.
What do you expect from a show that spent 7 seasons building up to them getting home then never showed it?
(I still love it)
I disagree.
And I know that it isn't possible to disagree over what you enjoy. It's a fact you don't enjoy them and there's no changing that, but here we are nonetheless. I just disagree.
I make Batman kill
Using one photo already on your phone, what is the announcement tomorrow at 2?
The state of the industry used to be California, but now it's probably Georgia or Toronto or the Czech Republic.
A. You absolutely know when you see it.
B. You're the one who brought up the concept of evil, don't you know?
I'd agree, but 2 out of the last 3 presidential elections were won by the "greater evil," so I think it's more accurate to say we got here by being remarkably stupid.
was this not the plan until recently? I was very surprised by the ending, but, to be fair, I wasn't reading the trades looking for spoilers beforehand so I didn't see any of it coming.
There are past companions I'd have preferred, Donna included, but I doubt anyone would have made me excited given the setup. Tennant's return as the 14th Dr's, "What? WHAT?" at least echoed my feelings. I just needed slightly more than,"Oh hello," to get on board. Some recognition of the wtf!
Posting this on a day when everything I am trying to do involving a wifi signal is lagging like I've never seen before is making me feel a lot less crazy. Fortnite, reddit, safari, everything is shitting the bed today.
I've had that happen (maybe most of us have?) and it definitely feels like a huge setback, but it's typically just part of the job and merely a small step in a very long journey. Pretty soon you'll have a team you love and you'll look back on this as a gift.

Many of the big stunts in the M:Is boil down to "what if he falls off," but Rogue goes a different direction smartly.
I did Ghost Protocol last night and about half of Rogue Nation (also doing my rewatch), and agree the Burj stunt is anxiety inducing like none other. But the underwater, breath holding sequence in Rogue taking advantage of a totally different fear is very smart.
Now do "as I was on my way to St. Ives!"
But... I will say, that what my gut says and what I expect to learn feel like we're walking into a "is a tomato a vegetable" territory.

Orange and White is the New Black
Doing a season 1 and 2 rewatch (again) to get ready!
Jay speaking jive? Surely, you can't be serious.
Yeah, I'm getting that now. I thought he was originally teasing Zas given that his motivation for picking the 4 pillars of the DCU is motivated solely by which movie just finished filming and I doubt he's ever read a comic book in his life.
Sincerely wondering the same about you.
Did you read the article? Zas is talking about the NEW DCU that James Gunn and Peter Safran are making. It is impossible for you to share an opinion on this DCU going back almost 20 years or the 1990s when it just started.
That's not what Zaslav is referring to at all. He's talking about James Gunn's new DC series of films, the DCU, as opposed to Snyder's DCEU.
The DC Universe you are referring to, which no one called it that, was in reference to the comic books. And we just said DC.
Andor dies in episode 11. In episode 12, Mon Mothma vows to never talk about Bothans. In Episode 10, Bail Organa's daughter says, "I know you are not my real father. My real father is Darth Vader and my brother's name is Luke Skywalker, but don't tell anyone because I want to kiss him!"
Man, do I wanna share a story on this topic.....
I remember almost twenty years ago when you said that. You said, "the four cornerstones of WB's DCU, as run by James Gunn and Peter Safran, are Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and, obviously, Supergirl."
And then I said, "What's a DCU?"
The fact that it seems like there are millions of influencers shows just how many people there are on social media in general. Crazy stats.
