We can’t do “Spitting Image” satire of Trump, he is both subject of the performance providing the crass maga behaviour and its satirical ridicule at the same time. Everything about Trump’s behaviour is already exaggerated beyond satire. He is his own parody.

Martin Parr - great photographer, social commentator and promoter of the photobook as a major format of artistic expression. We will miss his ironic wit and authority - but what a legacy of images that will endure.
I made a difficult decision in September to not go to a big meet-up of my American wife's family because
1) my comments in social media & my profile in the humanist movement, might mean not be let in
2) it would feel complicit with a regime like my parents spent WWII 5 years in London resisting.

This project looks very interesting, particularly the idea of looking at the statues and other monuments that surround and are the context for the central decision making location for a country, which will, inevitably have become out of date culturally over time, but will be resistant to change.
Dairy, meat, chocolate, coffee. So the answer to beating inflation is clearly tea drinking vegetarianism, my diet anyway 😀👍
