500 persons showed up at the emergency-response protest of the killing of Alex Pretti in Minneapolis. Lots os support from passersby. Here are my impromptu emergency signs. I'm appalled that the two persons killed by ICE this year are named Good and Pretti. Stand up, shout out and end this now!

The Iranian protest movement was initially fueled by anger over the economy, which has been battered by years of corruption, government mismanagement and crippling Western sanctions.

Clearing-The-Desktop Dept.: If billionaires want to leave, let them go. Leadership in productive firms are staying, while leadership in mature firms and hedge fund managers (who don’t produce jobs or products) want to leave. Let them.
Everybody loves oversight unless they’re the ones being overseen, so it’s not surprising that legislators and governors tend not to give watchdogs enough resources to do the job.

If a charitable contribution doesn’t incur a monetary benefit to a candidate, it benefits them in other ways, like name recognition, prestige, expanded social and business networks. Adam Smith's invisible hand of capitalism at work? Or is it masking a perception of impropriety and corruption?
Eschewing further office, you may spend donation money, despite reasons a donor may have given, to charities with ties to your firm. There is no need for back-end charity organizations if health care and the human right to be free from indebtedness are provided for by front end "sharity."
Campaign finance law allows lawmakers to raise and spend large amounts of money through ballot measure committees, before they leave office, then they are allowed to hold onto it, locking down funds that could be made more useful to the entire society if allowed to flow back into public hands.
Do the consumers and residents of a representative have the same availability, access and affordability to the same health spas that hold the fundraisers? Therein lies the rub. Availability, access and affordability of resources based on wealth, is not a sign of a healthy society.
The desire to live like the rich and famous is a powerful motivator for performing corruptible practices. A respectable senator spent $40,000 from their own ballot measure committee on two small fundraisers at a wellness resort in Tucson, saying the interest of consumers and residents is above all.
Like at Bohemian Grove conclaves, candidates and elected officials are not required to report certain details about these fundraisers, so few specifics are known about who attends and whether potential legislation is ever discussed in private. It’s a wink and a nod thing, a "gentleman’s agreement."
Committees used as vehicles for fundraising, is wasteful and destructive to the body politic. Political candidates should be funded by the general public majority in limited individual amounts, with no overage of slush there to tempt the graft of hoarding and consolidation of funds.
Elected officials exploit loopholes, and push legal and ethical boundaries to set up careers in the private sector after term limits. This spending is legal, allowing players to trade money and influence without breaking the law.
This game of pay-to-play, patronizes the public cuz we’re not stupid.”
Lawmakers, lobbyists, consultants and interest groups use accounts, ballot measure committees and campaign accounts held by ex-lawmakers, to trade money, time and access, that help elected officials live large, while spending little on campaigns the accounts were ostensibly designed to support.
Campaign accounts controlled by current and former elected officials, reveals the price of fundraising to get a state lawmaker’s ear is not cheap.
Special interests donate tens of thousands of dollars to lawmakers to gain access to private fundraisers at high-end resorts and exclusive events.
In America money means undemocratic authoritarian power.
Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely.
Billionaires are corrupted by the wealth they accumulate and hoard. Wealthy politicians inflate campaign costs through massive “war chests” of campaign monies.
