Wake up, babe, new fresh horrors await.

Something something getting rid of terrorists. They killed one leader, good enough for a "mission acomplished" and getting out of there after being yelled at by the money guys, without losing (too much) face.
Multiplayer is great. There are even multiplayer specific cards for the characters, like tanking the damage your teammates would get or giving everyone their own giant undead hand.
This one was so regional specific I had to google it. Like a raider/twix situation.
Of course it is a problem with the disconnect of representation and real thing, but in the most make-believe fashion I could blame the territory for not changing when I draw onto the map.
It is like "The map is not the territory", but we named the map the "very accurate territory full-scale representation" and now people point at the territory and say "Hey, that is just like the map"
I feel like this is a more universal phenomenon and likely has a name and wikipedia page. And of course the way we name things probably plays into it too. For example "Artificial Neural Networks" lends itself to be misunderstood in this way I think.
A fascinating thing you can see sometimes with (pro-AI) people, is that they see a model which was made to vaguely resemble/is inspired by a natural process, and then turn around and try to argue if it is not the other way around, that the process works just like the model.
DOGE was purely ideology driven (the idology being the white supremacist one of Elon Musk). May everyone involved in its work be named, shamed, and hopefully brought to justice.
At least some media scholar will be able to write a paper to compare reporting to other times things like that have happend, and political scientists can build some fancy model of what-if policies. I guess in a way the USA are creating job security for future academics, tbh I would rather they don't
Two to four years from now we are going to get media stories about higher cancer rates and other medical issues like asthma in babys in the middle east. The headlines will be in the form of questions, and the causes will be named but somehow still downplayed.
Selling oil NFTs that represent the theoretical shipments that would have occurred without the war just to make it all even dumber.
The population did go onto the streets and the USA did send them thoughts and prayers. Now, after the people who did protest got shot and supressed by the regime, the USA are bombing Iran but have so little of a plan that the people on the ground seem as suprised about it as the rest of the world.
An anthropomorphic border collie wagging her tail.
sheβs happy to see you
Also Premier .pproj files, which is good to know if you ever need to "downgrade" a project's used version
LLMs as responsibility gaps as a service + permission generators.
Wrote down my exploration of keeping all those juicy colors in an image when you put it into a GIF, and why you probably do not want to do that. The options I have implemented for the GIF-editor to allow full-color uploads will be available once I have tested them with some more images.
Sleepmaxxing in my comfortable high-security cage. No it's not a kennel!
This website has the juice (water that splashes back up and touches your, on the underlid sitting, ass)
But the underlid is not?? Maybe he ought to get one of those cursed plush covers for the seat so it is more comfrotable to sit on.
What does this person think the toilet seat is for?
And it is a really good game, too.
Often I block people and move on, other times it irks me so much that these are people who should know better and I can't but engage a little bit. God probably will forgive me either way.
Crikes, you all have certainly been busy whilst I was making sure those teenagers had a healthy mix of adrenaline, oily pizza and birthday waffles. I probably won't do the intriguing mix of responses justice but: Followed by the not reading all that meme
Yeah, why make a challenging ask and then off handedly go "why would I ever interact with the people answering that ask?" if youa ct in any good faith?
Challenge for those who are very confident that Claude isn't conscious: Explain how human consciousness works.
This for me is indistinguishable from stuff like concern trolling. Just clearly aimed at not getting any productive answers.
Also not like there aren't a bunch of less intense things one could do instead of outright bans, but then the social media companies might have responsibilities and we can't have that.
The de-anonyimization and extra data is probably the easiest explained problem though.
There are also other arguments against a flat ban. "If social media is so harmful that it should be banned for kids, what makes it less harmful for adults?" is one of them that I like. Why should gramps with 80 and bad brains get to be scammed on facebook but rudy with 15 and bad brains not?
"Personalized" online advertisment and services are imo one of the causes that led to the overall permissive attitude when it comes to data collection and scraping. Doesn't help that simply collecting data is easier than it ever was and there are not many laws to it because "it's a public space"
Oh ffs this stuff is just too predicatble (english version in alt text). Having our chancelor already bring up the 'possibility' of "uncontrolled migration movements" means we will get the media cycle rather sooner than later.
While at some places bombs drop from the sky, other places are not chaotic at all. Truly, a land of contrasts.
