"Agentic procurement orchestration..."
A cursed sounding phrase that makes my skin crawl. The underwriters of NPR are a good way predict who is building our next fresh hell. Remember when every other story was "Brought to you by Cambridge Analytica..." in 2016?

I'm seeing the statistic that 18% of Minneapolis is facing eviction next month, looks like the city council has a plan that at least buys some time.
Good foundation for economic recovery.

The quality of American propaganda has declined significantly since '91 and '03, but Orwellian phrases like 'suicide drones' still managing to creep into mainstream journalism.

Feel so helpless to stop all this needless death and destruction. But certainly won't be driving for the time being. Filling up the gas tank with blood is a mental picture I can't shake, and I am fortunate enough to own a cargo bike.

Yellow 1879 map of Richfield shows a much more expansive area than modern day.
Richfield needs to reclaim its former borders.

Minnesota Senator, who votes for Trump nominees, wants to be governor?
So is the money she gets from the Chilean mining interests worth poisoning the Boundary Waters for?

Interesting thought that humans "trained on Terminator films" are naturally reluctant to adopt the use of AI. Real people have data they were trained on too!

I didn't watch the SOTU, but did see the clip where Ilhan Omar sticks up for herself. In this world of so much fakery and posturing, it was a rare real moment to see a member if congress fighting back authentic tears and setting the record straight. Trump ordered the killings of her constituents.

Budgets went out to principals on Friday. South High School is cutting 1.5 million from the budget is all I know. That is a lot of teachers, support staff, counselors, and social workers salaries. The need for all those people will remain next school year.

So many Minneapolis teachers found out today that their jobs are being eliminated due to the massive cuts to public school funding. All that labor and love, poof, gone, and for what? Why can't Minneapolis fund schools like they can the cops?

Someone on here described sloppy joe's to their curious children as "food we ate in the 1900s" and it is pretty remarkable that 90% of the time I had dinner at a friend's house as a kid, that was what we were having if it wasn't pizza bagels.

No, his felony convictions don't matter because they had zero consequence. I'm from Minneapolis. I think we have had enough "It's Mueller time!" style gaslighting for a lifetime. Fascism is a real bitch, and pretending laws will save us is disrespectful, actually.

Only asking because facts still matter.

Wrinkled, ripped, stained, white t-shirt that dates from the 1988 Jesse Jackson campaign. It has a thin red circle logo with "Jesse Jackson" printed in the center in a black serif font, and '88 printed in red ink just below.
Ok, I found the shirt. Going to wear it today and remember the man that helped get us through winter in America as we find ourselves once again, waiting for spring, and a brighter day.

Some of my earliest memories are my dad coming home from long hours knocking on doors, volunteering for the Jesse Jackson campaign in '88. The shirt he wore, so excited, so hopefully, when it looked like we might have a chance, became what he would put on to go pull weeds in the vegetable garden.

Klepper also set up a bit where Frey could have declared St. Paul Baglery as "Best Bagels in Minneapolis"
which would have been a hilarious joke, and also extremely true. I was disappointed when he wiffed it.

So ICE doesn't actually do any customs enforcement, do they? Was that part added so the acronym would work as shaved in to the back of the head like the bully in Hocus Pocus?

Thrift stores have so many jackets and it gets too easy to collect a bunch of different looks. With all the swings in temperature and precipitation in MN, the "perfect" coat doesn't exist, but having like 6 that might possibly work on any given day is the way. Also vests. And sweaters for layering.

Anecdotally, I have hardly seen Minneapolis cops around Southside for months. Tonight they are absolutely everywhere. Must have something to do with the Homan announcement this morning? And this means they were coordinating with ICE the entire time? To be present or absent at the feds convenience?

One of the coolest books I have is an illustrated coffee table sized version of The Wind In The Willows, from 1976, with extremely weird era-specific color prints that look like Frog and Toad rip-offs. Stamp on the inside cover from West Berlin American School. Good for kids...maybe?
