Would-be programmer of a metroidvania called Super Flamingo Island, quasi-intellectual, unarguably-autistic, but hey, he has a great personality! Currently working on learning how to code through Godot.

The ability to have multiple discs and being able to swap them out when away from the computer was superior back when you couldn't fit a thousand songs on any given MP3 player.
Some of us spent the time needed to get less horribly compressed MP3 files from Kazaa, the superior website for viruses disguised as not viruses, thank you.
... Will admit, though, mini-discs were really good in comparison to early MP3 players.
Had wondered what had happened
"I'm not seeing an Ollie... Oh, wait, there it goes"
This. The eternal meme of "he told you he'd do it" remains evergreen. He knew this was coming, he just doesn't want to be caught holding the bag.
Or deliberately using shitty UI as a sort of impromptu Intelligence check (which is foolish, because it's a visual processing issue, not an intellect issue)
Lovely job. No disassemble!
He is a charming wordsmith who can talk a horseshoe into unbending... and he just met someone who *cannot* be charmed, and he has been tossing lines for a while now and *nothing* is working, and his toolbox is now empty and he's now simply as a loss as to how to proceed.
Account suspended as of now, fyi
Happy "OMG We're HOW Old" day, @niseybgn.bsky.social. love you too.
Crammed a new launcher into the game that many are calling literal spyware.
OK, fine. I guess I'll give it a go...
Damn it; it does.
Ughhhhhhhhhh, it'll be stuck in my head when I watch it in future now. 🙃
I feel bad, as I am not on here all that often right now, but even I at least check out those that happen upon me.
Congrats on preparing for the next 200 tabs!
Huh... and with a placeholder for an #idlegame mode. Amusing.
A fun little fishing game I fell across from my steam recommendations, with a solid demo. Beautiful #pixelart, very relaxed gameplay. Vibes like an old SNES fishing game. Worth sharing in case folks are interested.
Good. Good luck on your endeavor.
Although personally I would avoid anything super-elaborate for the font. Harder to scale weird crinkle cut paper whatever common in fantasy text, and honestly, strikes me as the TTRPG equivalent of Comic Sans. Bold and simple (and thus legible)
Also, y'know, better text in general. Just kinda picked the first really clear text on Krita for this.
Second mockup of Mothmind Press logo concept.
Alternatively, big thin book, moth on top, and full text across the rest of the book. In this case, I would make the text taller to match the height of the moth
Quick mockup of Mothmind Press logo concept.
Super bloody simple mockup. Book's facing in wrong because didn't dedicate time to trying to make it right. "press" would be cut out of the color for the book.
Big thing is, when scaled, it can go anywhere from "book title" size to "tiny almost unnoticeable thing in the corner of the back cover" without any editing. It could be shoved at the bottom of a page or elsewhere without being massively intrusive.
TTRPG publisher?
A side view of a moth looking down at a book, wings folded. The idea is to imply a monk-like quality to it with the wings looking as if robed. Text starts above the book, next to the moth, and extends to the right. Entire thing is an outline in one color.
to do:
1) Have mild breakdown at the empty list
2) Get idea for next game
3) Have mild breakdown over suddenly full to do list.
A plethora of time, an idea I never saw implemented well, and eventually the realization I need practice before I work on that idea and the thought that my wife would enjoy the practice idea.
I am using #godot and failed to understand how groups really functioned, as well as failed to really understand vector math and movement. Again, greatly enthused, but also vexed. Ahh well, progress.
Finally, finally getting back into coding a game. I am doing a quick run-through of the old tutorials as a refresher and discovering exactly why the shit I was trying to do was not working, which on the one hand is grand and useful, but on the other, slightly damming I had to start fresh to see it.
It's not like they were going to be allowed to send any aid anyhow. They've been shooting down Arkansas for a month now on disaster releif
Considering the state of the world today, it's looking better than I expected. I don't think he's going to smuggle anyone out of the US to Argentina when the regime ends.
