I find myself trying to untangle an ancient nginx conf file now.
Hopefully ChatGPT and Cursor can guide me on this one

Okay my battle with Wordpress and elementor is done after launching the refresh. Now to try to find a routine with the new puppy so I can get back into the Rails bookkeeping app.
Yes. That is a fun book and movie
this is the only reason my laptop is open on my desk setup. I have the apple keyboard and mouse but not with the touch
I deployed on a Friday 🤠
Today's the day for our new website that highlights our bookkeeping services for small business !

I agree. Do you care about tracking Stripe detail or other accounts receivables? Or you just track that as a deposit into the bank account?
What’s your must have list of features?
L for Lightweight
The most lightweight is Ledger-cli
Maybe 2025 will be the year I can revive another L one you’ve probably heard of, Less Accounting
The last book I read in 2025 was Armada by Ernest Cline. Not winning any writing awards but a fun video game concept story
stay tuned for the revamped copy and design at lessaccounting.com coming next week. But if you need services our team has open calendar slots for free initial consultations.
There are lots of good options other than Bench for bookkeeping. Sooo many different apps and services
I am planning to relaunch our website at Less Accounting next week. We have for years and will continue to offer affordable small business virtual bookkeeping and historical cleanup services.
wild to see that this happened. I am a minority partner in a bootstrapped bookkeeping firm Less Accounting, trying to find a growth channel. Maybe this will help.

There are all kinds of motivations that vary across developers. Some are driven by hard tech problems. Others revenue, others using creative patterns in code. Some like finding and fixing bugs. Spotting this in your developers allows you to put them in positions for success
I pay for both GitHub Copilot and Cursor. But I had slowly been only using Cursor. I imagine GitHub was getting jealous and is clearly offering it free because of me.

I hadn’t played it until I sat next to a guy on the plane who watched a 45 minute YouTube stream of what appeared to be a single game. Lots of mechanics to learn as a beginner
This is me. My daughters can already wrap better than I can.
I promise you have time for family and friends. That’s what is left when the SaaS is gone. Letting too much of your self identity be in the SaaS is something I probably messed up.

Watching the Chiefs via Starlink on a plane over the pacific. Good times
Two partner companies like appsumo during the moment but the people who buy and hang around are usually low value customers. Just don’t give away lifetime deals

My experience anyways
The pile of Macbooks in my closet would suggest I need to know this too. The last few aged too long they were dropped for e-recycling
Fees definitely can be expensive
Consider making Custom invoice requests upgrade to the $$$/month plan if it’s not a rule for your business locale
Look forward to this one. Going to have to kick my son off his PC eventually
The configuration between Apple Family, Unifi Routers and NextDNS I am surely giving my kids a good challenge to learn workarounds I don’t even know about yet.
