I've been making much space for joy in my life lately: intentional joy that fills my soul up, not just chasing a hit of dopamine to get through the horrors. Not coincidentally, I've also had more capacity to show up for local change-making. Joy is resistance bc joy is the most potent fuel for hope.
The other day Alli said "sometimes you look at me in such as husbandly way, and by that I mean I can tell you're thinking 'damn look at my hot wife'" and I felt so seen because that IS what I am thinking.
I was able to enjoy this for approximately 12 hours before Men Ruined It.

I have no sense of patriotism at this point, but BOY do I love to see both women & men's hockey get gold in the Olympics, and boy do I love it when MY favorite players are the ones getting the golden goals.
Pip and I started writing this sci-fi podcast years ago and the world just keeps making it easier and easier to justify the fucked up shit we've written. Which, this is the one time I wish I writing was /harder/.
