went to this community organizing thing a bit ago and ended up on a variety of signal chats and like. wow. how does one keep up with all this while being employed? i’m glad there are folks who can do all that, but man. i burn all my energy just getting through the day. there is nothing left.

Don't go searching for OP, leave them alone. I just think that what they uplift is important and explains why many people simply cannot engage in activism and organizing regularly. And the truth is that it's hard to figure out actual ways around this because organizing in fact a labor.

How I arrived on Bluesky

People worry way too much about being successful and not enough about being happy because if being happy is your thing you normally will find a level of success that is conducive to that and then can focus on the being happy stuff

People will say oh no you have to be successful first but what I would say to that is “look at any billionaire”

Honestly, any time I’m fed and my rent is paid, I’m not thinking about succe$$ while working. I’m just happy to help clients and confirm paperwork as correct. I don't match many capitalist definitions of success but I sure feel happy and know I’m helpful!
