And day 2- Keswick to Ambleside- great- they’ll have gone over the Kirkstone pass! Oh- no, they haven’t.
The 2014 Grand Depart in Yorkshire had two great stages- these don’t look anywhere near as good 😟

#TourdeFrance #GrandDepart2027. What a disappointment. Of all the routes in #Scotland they could have picked, they basically went for the fastest route to leave the country. Could have had a finish up the Royal Mile in #Edinburgh. Finish is in Carlisle instead

They should be.
It took the US 30 years to forget the lessons of Vietnam. That the US public really don’t like a steady stream of dead and maimed soldiers coming back from forever wars in other continents.
Seems like it’s only been 20 years this time.
How is he going to run it? Without people in #Venezuela to actually do the administration? Who would be targets for #Maduro loyalists. So will need US troops to protect them. Who will be targets, and need more US troops. Afghanistan 2.0. MAGA didn’t vote for this.

Oh dear. I had high hopes for Evoke. I was involved with the ELAD trial of liraglutide, which was negative overall but with some tantalising suggestions there could be some benefit on the secondary outcomes. This result is a bit of a blow.

Another post from yesterday’s walk at Scarhouse reservoir in Nidderdale in #NorthYorkshire. Rained the whole way round so plenty of water still to make its way into the reservoir. Very reassuring after it was only 1/3 full at the end of summer!

Indeed, and I was being a bit melodramatic. Plenty of other possible causes.
Still, only 15 in the study, and one SAE (participant outcome - death)- I’d be monitoring the safety profile in any phase 2 study *very* carefully…

We did. High LDL cholesterol is the biggest modifiable risk factor for dementia.
Don’t take my word for it:

Living in a deprived neighbourhood increases your #dementia risk and now @psychiatry-ucam.bsky.social researchers know why.
@audreylow.bsky.social and Prof John O'Brien found links to brain vessel damage and poorer management of lifestyle factors known to affect dementia risk: bit.ly/3JNMxv7
