Interesting that they play for territory from the goal kick, but still play short goal kicks allowing themselves to get pressed
Toronto Central Winter Thursday night 7 a side Division 3 champions - in Colombe Sportive shirts. Didn’t know you were a fan, Chris.
I’m convinced he’s just Australian Steve Bruce. Nice at first but increasingly bitter and thin skinned once found out tactically
My naturally conservative/ anti-change football mentality. I am sure near the end of the season when teams are in desperate need for points it could be an option. The other difference though would be relative impact of an extra “outfielder”. 6 v 5 in hockey greater than 11 v 10
Also goal difference is not a concern in hockey, so couldn’t see it in football league games… but late in a knockout tournament it’d be an interesting approach
Interesting. Was wondering if you were going to mention ice hockey, which you did. All I’ll say (as primarily a football fan, now in Toronto) that it drives me mad the amount of “empty net” goals teams concede that kill the game there and then. Sometimes they go too early for me
Your ability to tell a compelling story, with next to nothing to go on, is unrivalled 👏🏻
Surely it’s the opposite

A bus to the event would seemingly be the answer…
All fair points. Hope they accommodate as many as possible
Bigger city admittedly… but 2 million+ attended the raptors parade in Toronto first year I was over here. Was carnage
Wonder what capacity will be. Could have half a million interested 😬
Genuine question… what’s the issue with a free event instead of seeing a bus drive past fleetingly?
Finally, justice for Mark Cueto

Right #nufc I'm on the train up to Newcastle to watch the final with the family. Weekend starts now. Here's the journey so far, hope you like it, we can do this ⚫️⚪️🙌

Love this, especially the close up of the semi-final ball 🫢
Apparently Scottish
Newcastle aren’t a point back from city…
The analysis on match of the day usually consists of them highlighting the player that’s got the ball, drawing an arrow to where the ball is going to go, and then describing what happens. Banal. Oh and a corny joke
Daylight is too much for me but just draw thicker lines and give striker the benefit of the doubt
On International Women's Day 2025, I want to pay tribute to the courage of Dr Viktoriia Kovach, Chief Medical Officer of Ukraine's Third Assault Brigade.
In January, I spent 24 hours with the combat medics she leads on the front line. Please read 🇺🇦

Assuming Isak will be rested to an extent. Taking Palmer out… is a risk
On 15 March 1939 Hitler and his deputy summoned the Czech President to Hitler’s residence in Berlin and then bullied him to submitting to a German invasion of his country.
They drove him to the point of physical collapse, threatening him until he eventually signed his country’s death warrant.
Jesus H Christ lads
Absolutely pathetic second half performance. Couldn’t string two passes together. Wilson on to hold up the ball and loses it 4 times. Burn all over the place. Barnes ineffective (Bill should’ve been on?) Tino running into trouble. Minging. Massive win in context but wtf does Howe say at half time
Yeah it’s like the worst parts of capitalism and the worst parts of socialism here. Most corporates will give 3-4 weeks though if you’re lucky. And there are marginally more bank holidays 😂
It’s absolutely bizarre
