I'm doing a surprise fill-in show late tonight at my college radio alma mater, Binghamton University's own freeform station WHRW! I'll be on from 1am eastern till whenever, playing records from their library and mine. Catch it live at whrw.fm - there will be no archive!

My favorite radio station XCSB (formerly WCSB) is back. The terrestrial station was killed in a closed door deal where a university president got a seat on the local media conglomerate board, but thankfully they're back to streaming! Give em a listen. It's always something interesting.

There was also the matter of Monk's NYC cabaret card being revoked, which meant he was cut off from many high profile gigs from '51 to '57.

There is no greater bastion of 21st-century counterculture than #WFMU. Its fast-moving fundraiser is on now 'til March 15, and hearing some of the adrenaline-fueled DJ tag-teams is like getting a jolt of electricity. If you, me, & every listener don't support it, it could easily become just a memory
