Just drove up Kenmount Road and all the car dealerships have their vehicles taken off the lots I’m guessing for the upcoming blizzard. There’s an eerie feel to it to see all the empty lots. We are curious to know where they are all stored!

Names of killed women

Today is the 35th anniversary of the murder of 14 female students at Polytechnique Montreal.

Every December 6th in Canada we remember them and reflect on violence against women.

Totally agree Bruce. When I played HS sports back 30+ years ago, I can’t remember having to pay for anything. We shared taxis going to and from games that were paid by the school I’m assuming. That’s not the way it is today & you can barely make a school team if you aren’t playing club sport.

This year alone we have paid almost $1000 for house league hockey, $700 for club basketball and $280 for school ball to offset tournament costs and referees.

100% agree on getting youth involved in sports or any other extracurricular activity but parents still need to be willing to pay for the activity (for the most part) and be able to drive them to and from. That all needs to be addressed as many can’t afford it and don’t have transportation.

Night driving and rain are my downfall.
