Just finished The Staircase In The Woods. So good! Thank you.

Tyrants view educated citizens as their greatest enemy.
Slaveholders stopped the enslaved from learning to read. Nazis burned books. Dictators censor media.
Thatβs why Trump is attacking education, science, museums, and the arts β to prevent us from learning.
It's Fascism 101.
Just cancelled my Paramount+ subscription for scrapping Colbert. Now PBS will get the $12 per month Paramount was getting. @thedailyshow.com -- Please detach your show from Paramount+ so I can follow you on another streamer.
What is this called? Love the idea for in-town errands in my small town.
Sharing beauty and creativity is also a form of resistance. When you have 30 minutes, check out this absolutely gorgeous short doc, Flower Punk. www.youtube.com/watch?v=PSMo...
My husband, the nicest man on earth; funny, kind, great hang, and we still talk about everything under the sun--- is 5'6". I call him the handy take-home size. Going on 40 years. Best life decision I made.
Perfect post to start my week with. Thank you!
Just an update-- changed payment method and it's on its way. :)
I love your post Aimee. As a writer who left some novels under my bed about 15 years ago (!) it was hugely inspiring to me. I have your book in my cart on Psychopomp, but the buy button isn't working (paypal.) Will deal. Just thought you should know. Amazing premise. Can't wait to read!
Exactly what my morning needed. Thank you!
Hair, glasses, whole vibe is def cool.
Agree that dialog, the ability to empathize and restraint are the needed skillsets. When someone suggests the female leadership solution I think of MTG, Bobert, Bachmann,(the list of horrible women keeps growing, unfortunately). The problem doesn't need gendered solution; it needs a humanist one. :)
See you Sat, democracy supporters. #nokings
Feed brightener. Enjoyed this quiet moment in my yard this morning.
These colors gave me an instant mood lift.
I'd like to begin normalizing the term personhood. To me it cuts through a lot of the muck that tries to sort and categorize people, and implies equity- every single one of us is a person.
What do we think?
I feel this so much. I'm lucky enough to live near a woods I can visit every day in an attempt to destress. Then I write, and think, "So this is how I'm processing the end of the world; making up a new one filled with pretend people. La la la."
It concerns me that all this is ruining the dystopian novel genre, reducing it to, simply, current events.
May I ask what the pod was?
AOC is awesome. We need a hundred of her. Here she offers to meet with constituents of chickenshit repubs

Oh wait, we can get paid? I'd like to donate my fee back into the National Parks and other essential workers being targeted. Who do I invoice for this, Elon? Doge?
love this @rokhanna.bsky.social
We need more proposals like this that co-opt the chaos
Please share off line as well !!!
I helped some kids make a thing. I didn't know what "Toothless" was, having never seen How To Train Your Dragon. They worked so hard. It's an amazing creation. Can't wait to see it in the parade this Sat. It will be operated by 5 kids.
I made another thing-- Pink Reindeer Club, Pink Reindeer Club...
I made a thing.
Making another big lantern sculpture for MontiArts Glow Fest in a could weeks in Monticello MN.
Hot glue and willow.
Make a fox, which will soon be a lantern sculpture for a parade in a couple weeks. #scupture
Spend just 5 minutes in this chill zone today. Then resist and persist, good people.
