It is the best thing ever. Paying 4/8$ for Sync is a no brainer. And the 3 things you need to learn about mark down will take you 10 minutes (titles, lists, links (, code blocks - if you are a dev)).

Ruby. It is just beautiful and works exactly as I would expect it to do. Whenever I have to automate a task I choose ruby. You might argue with performance, but me enjoying my work is more important than that 1 second I have to wait once in a while 😍

Ollama support for local LLMs and
the ability to link any note in your vault for more context for the AI.
Try these new features, you can install "ChatGPT MD" through
Settings > Community Plugins > Browse -> "ChatGPT MD"
Yes you need to add a few dollars. 5$ will already get you very far. API costs especially with the mini models are quite moderate.
That’s not a very helpful error message and I am to blame for that 😎 I’ll check later what went possibly wrong
ChatGPT MD is a community plugin. You can easily install it from the Community Plugin tab in the Obsidian settings. Just add your openAI API key and you can use the chat command in any note. I recommend setting up a hot key. cmd + j works great for me.

Important side note: Don’t get discouraged by short answers. People are usually not rude. They are just quick in their work. Don’t get discouraged if your pull requests are being closed without being taken into consideration. Just move on. It’s the same for all of us 😎
Some repos tag issues as „good first issue“. If you don’t want to start with writing code, you can easily improve documentation or localization. Look for typos. Fix something small and see how it goes through the process. You will be writing code that others are using in no time 💪

1. fork the repo you want to work on
2. create a branch with a meaningful name on your fork
3. commit your changes on your branch
4. create a pull request on the other repo
5. wait for feedback
