I don't know how good I am at the old critiquing business, but I'll pm you my email address, in case you ever feel you need a second opinion on a poem.
You can sort of pick it up as you go along.
This is the first sale I've done.
Don't put too much pressure on yourself x
Thanks Julie π
I checked with Amazon Kindle Direct and my sales perked up a fair bit over the last week, so maybe those kindle countdown events work pretty well π
I'm minded to do another one around the end of July / beginning of August to tie in with the #SealeyChallenge

Happy birthday Caroline! π
As much as I come & go from here (a few weeks on, a few weeks off to recharge) there are poets whose work I greatly admire & am so glad to have found. This is one of them. He's brilliant, as many know from his compelling #PoemsAbout everything under the sun.

The World Smiles Back Was drowning neath the sea of small concerns, fixated on the fears that weighed me down, ignoring every lifebuoy thrown to me. Iβm not quite sure what happened in between (perhaps it was the moon as people say), but something caused reversal of the tides, for here, instead of strain, short bitten nails, suspicion such a world would suss me out, I shine before reluctance has a chance and everything seems new and brash and brave and everything runs crude and coarse and free, but nothing shall dissuade me now. Youβll see. Somewhere, beneath Orion gazing proud, where mermaids sing and pirates rule the waves, you smile upon the world, the world smiles back.
For two more days, the eBook version of This Joyful Interlude is only 99p / 99Β’! β¨
