Well... maybe in another month or so.

Yes.
When Vincent van Gogh moved to Paris in 1886, he was suddenly exposed to Impressionism's colors, which radically changed his palette.
So, to experiment cheaply with colour harmonies before trying on canvas, he used small balls of coloured wool.
He would arrange them to see how hues interacted
Still have computer labs with that set up. Must be some equity in tech availability. Kids are hard on their CBs, frequently need repair. That turn around is glacial. Class sets are an option, but heavy for inventory and tracking. Phones are the fallback. Horrible for composition and distraction.
The worst headlines are writing themselves.
Received an alpaca adoption as a gift and made my way to Shed Chetwynd farm in Prince Edward County for a lovely, meandering visit. With heroic effort, I was able to buy a QUITE A BIT of yarn with the friends and family discount. Highly recommend. Really lovely. #knitsky #alpaca #yarn
Love the colours.
This guy caught the #KIRKIE homer!! He's so happy! Go #JAYS #bluejays #TorontoBlueJays
That means these guys will actually know where you live! Shudder.
Knitting belt?
Beautiful work.
Thx. I'm totally inspired!
Love this. Is it your own pattern?
Agree
Palette is so fun, but it def needs the right project. Had beautiful Marimekko fabric in those colours and it turned into a full on bathroom reno!! π
All in. And then I buy yarn and start others projects as I holiday. Routinely need to buy an additional suitcase to bring home yarn. Madness.

Nazi propaganda: "The Nazi Party secures the national community" [Painting of a German family]
On the left is a post today from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. On the right is literal Nazi propaganda from the 1930s.
Every day.
Phew. On the last pair of socks for one of the sons. 10th annual fishing trip way north. He treks with lads I've known since they were in highschool together. He just had to mention that everyone had sock envy and even though they all seem to have yeti sized feet...

WTF?! Not about book banning, but it's about book banning.
Eva Pacheo, a local crochet teacher and her students in AlhaurΓn de la Torre, in Malaga, Spain, collaboratively created a massive canopy of patchwork crochet to create shade for their community #WomensArt #heatwave
Beautiful. Thx
This weekend. Ontario's prettiest fibre arts festival. #Gather #PEC #knitsky
Very sensitive to light as well. Find the neck light worthwhile, but still need to limit my time with it. Especially if I am using it in a dark room or dark car etc.
We all saw that sunset yesterday.
Love it!
I love that excruciating attempt at a closing smile.
A huge embarrassment for Ontario Premier Doug Ford and to be fair local journalism for failing to spot the scam which now seems relatively obvious - the logo alone! - and a tragedy for Toronto, a city long short of greenery, beauty and public pleasure. This is one grim story.
A student submitted AI generated creative assignment. When I refused the assignment, they submitted AI generated apology letter asking me to reconsider. Sad, but also funny.
