Clever little budget-priced CPRG just left early access with a good launch discount, too.
A weird swampy fantasy setting, semi-real-time combat ala Vagrant Story and a cool claymation-esque art style. Also hugely undersold so far.
Go check it out, RPG folks.
When Unity started collapsing I made a quick "how do I get going in Unreal" website many folks found helpful. that website has now MOVED and is a DIFFERENT COLOUR. If you want Unreal demystification, tips and scoops, this is a place

With news of more games media layoffs, this seems like a good time to share my Indie Games Media starter kit β itβs more important than ever that readers directly support their favourite publications and writers.
Hey, this is still a form of savings. Spiritual savings.
Outside of indie games, this is where my tax returns will go!
This looks rad.

Am I a bad person if I use both Unreal Engine AND Godot? I hope not, Iβm making narrative games in Godot, and action games in Unreal Engine. Forgive meβ¦
Nailed it, makes me wonder: Why donβt devs fuck around with menus and UI more? We need more game studios like Grasshopper!
I played so much 868-Hack in my Uni days. Canβt believe thereβs going to be more!
Huge!!!
Wow, that looks incredibly smooth and fun. Wishlisted, great job!!!
Iβm currently using Emacs, with my dialogue files written in org format. Iβm writing a tool to parse org files into a Godot friendly format. I hope to open-source the tool when itβs ready!
Much to be done, I got really distracted last year moving my entire life off of Windows and into Linux and Emacs. I donβt regret it, itβs important. Back to game dev!
My first game will be a visual novel, made with Godot, inspired by The Silver Case. This will allow me to (1) build out reusable GUI components for future projects, and (2) help me get better at writing. Iβm also an Emacs sicko, so Iβll be making a tool (similar to Yarn) for the story dialogue.
Iβm one of those Flash to Unity to Unreal Engine to Godot game devs that made games to cope and understand the world. Itβs cool and normal actually.
Congrats, I'm really enjoying it so far. Kudos to using Godot as well!
