- explore its perspectives in writing, you wrote a novel
- built some rules to present it and people can use them: you made a game
- you exhaustively focused on a single aspect of that question: you have a scientific paper

I have no evidence but also no doubt that this was why they were shut down. Their ideas were too bold; too dangerous, even. They spoke aloud the words forbidden.
Jokes aside, it is an absolute tragedy that things went down like this. The industry has seen better days.

In Excel the parameter order for SUM.IF is test range, test criteria and then sum range. The parameter order for MAX.IF is max range, test_range and then test criteria.

Damn. Marty Supreme pretty good. Soundtrack go hard. I think it's a big critique of the idea of American Exceptionalism and giving the billionaire the "I am a vampire from 1601" line was flat genius.
There's a book by Caillois called Man, Play and Games that presents a classification for games along how much they rely on chance (alea) versus skill (agon). You showcase how Magic's design, by virtue of pushing it towards one of the extremes, is robust under this analysis. Magic fucken rules.
Sam has done a lot of analysis on how Magic has acted as a canvas for formats which can become games of their own like Forgetful Fish. This is fundamental to the discipline.
Analysis in this vein is critical to helping designers understand that games can spawn games. They can become the toolbox.

The dolly zoom is probably the best camera trick with regards to the density of how much it communicates.
I'd go so far as to say the dolly zoom is better at communicating than the Dutch angle.

It's my main gripe with post-apocalyptic media in all its forms is that it most often pushes the message of "yeah, everything is fucked, but you know what makes it worse? Fuckin people, amirite?" and it's just not fucking true.
