MangaOne has revealed that the writer of “Act Age” Tatsuya Matsuki is writing the series “Seisou no Shinrishi” under the name of Yatsunami Itsuki.
Matsuki was arrested for assault on a middle school student August 2020, and subsequently received a guilty verdict (1 year and 6 months in prison.)

If translation *alone* took six months, the pay rate would be so huge, it'd eclipse the golden years of the 90s and every manga translator I know wouldn't be juggling 10+ series. But no, it's one of the quickest, cheapest parts, for worse and for worse. You're drawing blood out of a stone, dinguses.
Every professional translator I know has the same position on this and can easily explain the reasons for it when asked. The fact that executives don't even bother to ask and force translators to work on AI/MTL slop regardless makes it clear where their priorities lie: money trumps quality.
Hä finde ich persönlich eigentlich nicht barsch. Mein Problem ist eher, dass wir außer Hä und Hö nix haben, weil das Deutsch so schlecht im Verschriftlichen von Lauten ist. (zB huh ist bei uns nicht standardisiert)
