Interested in all the natural world has to offer, with a particular focus on Birds, Moths and Butterflies. Also quite keen on Fungi, Plants, Mammals, Reptiles, Amphibians, Fish and Insects. Did I leave anything out? Supporting #BirdsSeenIn2026

I think this is probably the best photo I have ever taken? Chiffchaff looking at its reflection at the local spring. What do you all think? Hopefully I might get a re-post or two? View full screen. #birds #birdphotography

The exchange of weeds is thought to play a role in reinforcing the bond between the pair while also forming part of the early stages of nest-building behaviour. By presenting vegetation, the birds rehearse the gathering of material that will soon be used to construct their floating nest among reeds or aquatic plants. The performance rarely lasts long. After the upright dance, the pair settle again onto the water, drifting apart before resuming their quiet patrol of the lake.

Humanity heating planet faster than ever before, study finds Researchers identify sharp rise to about 0.35C every decade, after excluding natural fluctuations such as El Niรฑo

It doesnโ€™t matter whether the rate of global warming is increasing. Itโ€™ll never cease to amaze me that people donโ€™t care that itโ€™s happening at all. It should be the most alarming thing ever.
