@dnv.org the Spirit Trail was blocked by District vehicles parked on the trail as well as immediately behind the stop sign on Lloyd Avenue. No warning for people on bikes, no flaggers to ensure vehicles on Lloyd stopped for pedestrians or cyclists approaching from the West. Dangerous & unacceptable.

Southbound bike lane on Chesterfield Ave. Lane is paved, though street was closed yesterday (Feb 17).
Bike lane closed sign and shipping pallets block the westbound bike lane on Esplanade Street near the Fresh Street Market (nee IGA).
The new section of bike lane on the northwest corner of Esplanade St and Chesterfield Ave was partially open yesterday.
Unfortunately, the existing westbound lane on Esplanade was being used as an unloading zone.

@cityofnorthvan.bsky.social thank you so much for sweeping the bike lanes, but maybe don’t close them during the afternoon commute and force us into the traffic at W1st and Fell. That intersection is already a mess, we don’t need to be thrown into afternoon automobile traffic as well.

The main span of the Casano-Loutet overpass was installed this week and can be seen on the DriveBC highway camera. The pedestrian and cycling overpass is expected to be completed in July.

The route started at Grand Boulevard and 15th Street, headed to Lynn Valley Town Centre, then along 29th, down Jones Ave, along part of the Green Necklace trail, and finally down St Andrews Ave to end in Lower Lonsdale. We checked out the Casano-Loutet Overpass construction on the way.

Overpass construction on the north side from Casano Drive. Behind yellow construction fence, the ramp for the overpass is being constructed out of rock held in place with metal cages (gabions).

Overnight closure on Highway 1 planned in North Vancouver next month

Construction on the Northwest corner of Esplanade St and Chesterfield Ave. The sidewalk is behind red construction fence and a sign tells people cycling to "take the lane".
Construction of the new bikelane and sidewalk. A machine and workers are digging up the ground.
Construction is happening on Esplanade St at Chesterfield St to finish the very last section of the Esplanade Complete Street Project. This half block was being redeveloped when the rest of the project was finished in 2023.
