Trump multiple times just today has said the country is at war. War can only be declared by Congress, and Iran posed no imminent threat. What Trump is doing there is a textbook illegal war and impeachable offense — if we still had a Congress.
TAPPER: You know that if you vote against an additional $50 billion of funding for operations in Iran, that vote will be cast as you voting against the troops.
CHRIS MURPHY: Come on. The American people do not want this war. If you support the troops, you should be voting against this war.

The Trump regime has abandoned the constitution:
- declared war without Congressional authorization
- ignoring multiple court orders
- impounding Congressional authorized funds
- ignoring the freedom of speech and assembly
It’s a lawless regime that has no legitimacy.
